Our speaker is Twila K. Yoder, East Coast Representative on the MCUSA
Board for Mennonite Women. She will guide our thinking for the future
of Mennonite Women. There are stories and skits planned. Child care is
provided. This is also a great time to show we care about women who are
serving Christ in various locations with VMM by giving them a gift and
to learn about Mennonite Women in the VA Conference in the past. Prayers and PraisesMennonite Mission Network: Recruiting teachers for LCC International University, a four-year Christian liberal arts college in Lithuania, is becoming increasingly difficult due to the global recession and new migration laws. Pray for Robin Gingerich, director of LCC's English language programs, and for a complete staff for the coming academic year. VMM Missions: Today the Jamaica Mennonite churches
are gathering for worship in Kingston, singing, praying and hearing God's
Word. Thank God for inspiring the church members to continue serving Him,
especially in difficult circumstances. Pray for the local services for people in need: Love Inc., Shelter for Help in Emergency, Food Bank, Salvation Army, IMPACT--a justice ministry and PACEM-- the initiative for the homeless.
