We will be taking a small group survey in September to form new groups. Please, start thinking about what you might be interested in and let Maren or Roy know if you have suggestions.

We are looking for someone with computer interest and ability to update the Charlottesville Mennonite Church website on a regular basis with a flexible schedule. You don't have to gather the info, just put it on the website. If interested please contact Maren or Roy.

This fall we are planning to hold our informal fall potlucks again. We are currently looking for people who would be willing to host 6-10 people at their home for a potluck. Please contact Maren or Roy if you are interested in being a host.

Prayers and Praises

Mennonite Mission Network: Sharon Kniss, Mennonite Mission Network worker in England, requests prayer for the work of Bridge Builders at London Mennonite Centre as it conducts training courses for church leaders in how to deal with conflict. Pray also for its work in mediation services for individuals and churches in conflict throughout Great Britain.

VMM Missions: This is the first weekend that Phil, Marcia, Crystal and Christopher Lehman are at Centro Koinonia since they returned to Italy after three months of home leave. Thank God for their commitment to ministry and ask Him to enlarge the congregation both in spirituality and in numbers.

Pray for the local services for people in need: Love Inc., Shelter for Help in Emergency, Food Bank, Salvation Army, IMPACT--a justice ministry and PACEM-- the initiative for the homeless.
