Ride for fun and exercise! Bicyclists of all ages will ride on Saturday, Sept 22 in a fundraiser event to benefit Patchwork Pantry, VMM, MCC, and Mennonite Media. Ride options include 5, 15, 30, 62, and 100-mile routes leaving at various times throughout the day, beginning and ending at EMS. An evening celebration for riders and families with free dinner and prizes will conclude the day. Riders are encouraged to get sponsors for the miles they bike. Registration deadline is Sept 7. need for a young man to serve at the Maranatha School for the Deaf for
the coming school year. Assisting teachers in the classrooms, providing
interesting life experiences and demonstrating Christ's love are parts
of the job description. schools in Virginia Mennonite Conference congregations during the summer
months. The outdoor Bible school in Graham, N.C. that was led by Outlet
10:27 attracted 60 children. May these contacts continue in the months
ahead. Pray for the local services for people in need: Love Inc., Shelter for Help in Emergency, Food Bank, Salvation Army, IMPACT--a justice ministry and PACEM-- the initiative for the homeless.
