Epiphanies: Light at the Table
February 14, 2010

Gathering in Christ's name

Pre-service music
Call to Worship STS 190 and HWB 1
Leader: People of God, look around and see.
What is this place where we are meeting?
People: Only a house, the earth its floor.
Yet it becomes a body that lives
when we are gathered here, and know our God is near.

Leader: People of God, look around and see the faces,
Of those we know and love
People: neighbors and friends, sisters and brothers -
a community of kindred hearts.

Leader: People of God, look around and see the faces,
and those we hardly know
People: strangers, sojourners, forgotten friends,
the ones we extend an outstretched hand to.

Leader: People of God, look around
and see all the images of God gathered here.
People: In me, in you, in each of us,
God's love shines for all to see

Leader: People of God, come.
People: Let us worship together.
