All: We will be a light in the name of the Maker
who lit the world and breathed the breath of life for me.
We will be a light in the name of the Son,
who saved the world and stretched out his hand to me.
We will be a light in the name of the Spirit,
who encompasses the world and blesses my soul with
yearning. God above us, God beside us, God beneath us; the Beginning, the End, the Everlasting One.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS: The Annual Alderfer Super Bowl Football Fellowship will be held once again! Date: Sunday, February 7th. Be prepared - More information to come.

During January and February our worship will focus on Epiphanies: Light at the Table. We will look at the agape meal tradition in the early church, how Jesus used to eat with sinners and how communal eating and sharing transforms lives and affects society. Next Sunday Reta Halteman Finger will give a presentation in both the Sunday School time and the sermon:

Prayers and Praises

Mennonite Mission Network: MMN workers are training 30 church planters in South Asia this month to effectively use business to multiply congregations in areas of persecution and extreme poverty. Pray for the safety of these leaders and for Christ's shalom in their family lives.

VMM Missions: This week Mark, Sarah, and Heidi Schoenhals arrived in Thailand for a term of service with VMM and EMM. They will support the Life Enrichment Church, teach Bible studies and assist with leadership development. Pray for them during these days of transition.

Pray for the local services for people in need: Love Inc., Shelter for Help in Emergency, Food Bank, Salvation Army, IMPACT--a justice ministry and PACEM-- the initiative for the homeless.
