Call to Worship
Leader: O God, you summon the day to dawn,
you teach the morning to waken the earth.
People: For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
God's faithfulness continues through all generations.
Leader: For you the valleys shall sing for joy;
the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
People: For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
God's faithfulness continues through all generations.
Leader: For you the kings of the earth shall bow,
the poor and persecuted shall shout for joy.
People: For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
God's faithfulness continues through all generations.
Leader: Your love and mercy shall last forever,
fresh as the morning, sure as the sunrise.
People: For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
God's faithfulness continues through all generations

Confession
Leader: We pray with the psalmist; "I have become like a broken
vessel. I trust in you, O Lord. Deliver me."
All: Healing God, we come as we are.
We acknowledge our brokenness.
We look to you for restoration.
Leader: As broken vessels, we need reassuring signs of your
blessing and promise. Our world is hurting, our lives are often
chaotic. The future seems uncertain; we falter in fear and doubt.
All: Restore us and bless us. Heal us and make us whole that
we may reflect your image more truly in the world. Amen.

A special new collector's CD from Third Way Media includes
recordings of three archival Mennonite Hour radio programs by B. Charles
Hostetter and David Augsburger. The CD, Invitation: Classic Hymns of Revival
and Mission, features 25 musical recordings from the original Mennonite
Hour a cappella singers. For this album, compiler John Horst and Third
Way Media staff researched archives of Mennonite Hour programs and chose
three illustrative programs to include on a separate bonus CD which comes
free with the purchase of the music CD. Sermons on the bonus CD feature
the voices of speaker B. Charles Hostetter and announcer Norman Derstine
from 1961 (both deceased); and speaker David Augsburger and announcer
Richard Weaver from 1966 and 1971. More information, including a completing
listing of the songs on the CD, is available at store.ThirdWayMedia.org
or 800-999-3534. Third Way Media is a ministry of Mennonite Mission Network
and all proceeds support the outreach of Third Way Media.
