The light of Christ transforming the world

Gathering in Christ's name

Pre-service music HWB 371
Call to Worship Psalm 62:5-12

Leader: Trust in him at all times, O people;
pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us.
All: For God alone my soul waits in silence,
Leader: We humans are only a breath;
All: for my hope is from him.
Leader: none of us are truly great.
All: He alone is my rock and my salvation,
Leader: All of us together weigh less than a puff of air.
All: my fortress; I shall not be shaken.
Leader: Don't trust in violence
All: On God rests my deliverance and my honor;
Leader: or depend on dishonesty
All: my mighty rock, my refuge is in God.
Leader: or rely on great wealth.
All: We trust in him at all times;
we pour out our heart before him;
God is a refuge for us.

Leader: Once God has spoken; twice have I heard this:
that power belongs to God,
and steadfast love belongs to you, O Lord.
For you repay to all according to their work.

MMN: Mennonite Mission Network workers Connie and Dennis Byler request prayer for a gathering of Anabaptist leaders from Mennonite and Brethren in Christ groups in Spain on Saturday, January 24, to share, plan and encourage one another.

VMM: Steve and Betsy Dintaman are beginning a new semester at Lithuania University. Thank God for their presence that invites conversation with students around many topics, including theology and spirituality. May they be God's voices in that place.

Pray for the local services for people in need: Love Inc., Shelter for Help in Emergency, Food Bank, Salvation Army, IMPACT--a justice ministry and PACEM-- the initiative for the homeless.
