Gathering in Christ's name

Call to Worship Psalm 29 and Gen 1
Leader: In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Men: Ascribe to the LORD, glory and strength.
Women: Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name;
All: worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness.
Leader: Now the earth was formless and empty,
darkness was over the surface of the deep,
and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

Men: The voice of the God of glory
thunders over the mighty waters.
Women: The voice of the LORD is powerful and majestic.
Leader: And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light.
God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light
from the darkness. God called the light "day,"
and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening,
and there was morning-the first day.

Men: The voice of the LORD strikes with flashes of lightning.
Women: The LORD sits enthroned over the flood;
All: the LORD is enthroned as King forever.
And in his temple all cry, "Glory!"
