Any questions, feel free to contact Stewardship Message: February began the last third part of our present fiscal year. We continue to carry a $5,000.00 shortfall. Further, unless our offerings' pace increases, it's possible our shortfall could increase to $7,500.00. We thank all who have been mindful that there is a financial side to our congregational mission. It is a challenge in this economic crisis but let's all try to give at a higher level to meet the goal of $9,300 per month for the balance of this fiscal year. Pray for the continued financial health of our church and ministries. Dean - Stewardship Stewardship University is a ministry partnership between MMA and our local faith community coming to Parkview Mennonite Church in Harrisonburg on March 7, 2009. As part of that partnership, local leaders had a hand in selecting the specific courses that are included at this event. In one, course leader Dick Towner will present Money and You: Who's in Charge, and show how to make financial choices that reflect your values. For more information or to register, contact MMA at (800) 348-7468, Ext. 388, or visit our Web site (www.StewardshipUniversity.org). Partners in Mission needs skilled electricians,
plumbers, and teachers for short-term mission assignments! If you have
these skills and can volunteer a week or two of your summer, please contact
Philip Rhodes at philip.rhodes@vmmissions.org
Prayers and PraisesMMN: Please pray for Hannah Eberly, Tara Harms-Becker, Beth and Marcos Wright Kuhns, Eva Michel and Ruth Wiens as they minister in the community of Philippi, Wva, through Service Adventure. Pray they will show Christ's love as they work at KidReach, Myers Clinic and elementary schools. VMM: Willard and Eva Eberly are returning to
Bari, Italy, on Feb.17 after 2 ½ months in the US, visiting with
family and friends, and sharing in churches. Pray for their safety in
travel and their smooth transition to the heavy ministry load they carry
in the Mediterranean region. Pray for the local services for people in need: Love Inc., Shelter for Help in Emergency, Food Bank, Salvation Army, IMPACT--a justice ministry and PACEM-- the initiative for the homeless.
