The Hange family is taking their quarterly weekend off Memorial Day weekend. In case of an emergency please contact a member of the Board of Elders: Lois Alderfer, Joyce Hutchinson or Jim Parks.

Matthew Nissley graduated Saturday with a Bachelor of Science degree from Messiah College in International Business (major) and Accounting (minor), Summa Cum Laude. Prayer Request: Matt is leaving for Zambia on Tuesday, May 20th, and will be there for approx. 3 weeks working on a microeconomics project to help the people of Zambia develop businesses to become self-sufficient. This is a project that Matt has been involved in for the past two years.

From the Foodbank: Thank you very much for organizing a food drive during the week leading up to your (David's) concert at CMC on May 4. We were pleased to receive the 17 bags and 4 boxes of food, as well as the check for just over $ 300, delivered to our pantry on May 6 by Susan Banks and Geneva Richardson from our Board.

The Shenandoah Valley Bach Festival invites you to its 16th season - Bach and String Things! Come hear outstanding classical music performed by soloists of international reputation, a professional orchestra and chamber musicians from around the state and the country, and a choir comprised of professional and amateur singers from the local area and beyond. Performances at EMU's Lehman Auditorium are on June 8 at 3:00 pm, June 13 at 7:30 pm, June 14 at 7:30 pm, and the Leipzig Service on June 15 at 10:00 am. Performances at Asbury United Methodist Church are at 12:00 noon on June 9-14.

Prayers and Praises

Mennonite Mission Network: Praise God for the new Grace and Peace Mennonite Church in Seoul under the leadership of Gui-Shik Nam. Pray for the church's outreach and growth. Mennonite Mission Network gives support to this ministry.

VMM Missions: Carol Tobin, VMM & EMM missionary in Thailand, nurtures the faith of believers and witnesses to those who have not yet known Christ. Thank God for this "mother of faith" and ask for double blessings for Carol today.

Pray for the local services for people in need: Love Inc., Shelter for Help in Emergency, Food Bank, Salvation Army, IMPACT--a justice ministry and PACEM-- the initiative for the homeless.
