A book discussion of The Upside Down Kingdom by Don Kraybill is starting in the discussion class that meets in the back of the sanctuary at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays. If you would like to participate in the class please contact Roy Hange for a book. "Hope for Peace" Day at EMU takes place on Saturday, May 19 starting at 8:30 am. If you are over age 70 ½ , you can make a gift to the church or your favorite charity without paying taxes. A new law allows you to give from your IRA tax free for calendar years 2006 and 2007. 26-28. Prayers and PraisesVMBM: Steve Dintaman, MMN & VMBM worker in Lithuania says that teaching the course "Intro to Theology and Moral Philosophy challenges him to teach in ways that are sensitive to all the traditions represented in the classroom and that is compelling to students who are not believers." and wisdom as they interact and minister with people in the community. Pray for the local services for people in need: Love Inc., Shelter for Help in Emergency, Food Bank, Salvation Army, IMPACT--a justice ministry and PACEM-- the initiative for the homeless.
