The World Day of Prayer is celebrated every year on the first Friday of March. This year it is on March 2, 2007. The theme is "United Under God's Tent," and was prepared by the World Day of Prayer Committee of Paraguay. Join in the effort to feed the hungry in the world with the turkey canning project at the Mennonite Relief Center the week of Feb. 26-March 2. $44,000 is needed to purchase turkeys for canning. Please send your contribution to MRC, P.O. Box 519, Dayton, VA 22821. Help with the canning on Feb. 27, from 5:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Williamsburg Christian Retreat Center's Pedal the Peninsula fundraiser will be held May 12, 2007. Cyclists can enjoy a morning of biking followed by a picnic lunch. Routes range from 10 to 65 miles. Prayers and Praises

VMBM: This week, Brian and Dawn Waltman and their four children from Gordonville, Pa., will go to Jamaica to serve for several months at the Maranatha School for the Deaf. Pray that God will give them safe travel and a good adjustment to life there.

Mennonite Mission Network: Mennonite Mission Network workers David and Ericka Gingerich request prayer as they plan activities for the youth group and teach Sunday school at the Quito Mennonite Church in Ecuador. Than God for closer relationships among the youth and increased involvement in church and outreach.

Pray for the local services for people in need: Love Inc., Shelter for Help in Emergency, Food Bank, Salvation Army, IMPACT--a justice ministry and PACEM-- the initiative for the homeless.
