This Sunday is covenant Sunday, this is a celebraton of our commitment to Christ and one another as a church during which members annually renew their church membership. If anyone who is not a member currently is interested in Associate or full membership, please contact the pastors.

Christmas play practices are today after the service and on December 3. The play "A Christmas Journey" will take place on December 9. I am grateful to all those participating and look forward to this exciting time. Maren Hange

Join in making your own advent wreath along with some advent readings at church the week after Thanksgiving (Nov 27-Dec 2). Libby will purchase clear wreath forms and candles (pink and purple) for those interested and participants will greens from their gardens or whatever they have access to. Their will be a small cost involved for the form and candles. Please contact Libby Showalter for more information.

Registration is now open for "Places, People, & Prayers: 2007," a Middle East study tour to be offered by Eastern Mennonite Seminary from May 4-26, 2007. This tour is a rich offering of opportunities to see the biblical sights (Places), to speak with Palestinians and Israelis about the world they live in (People), and to worship together as a group and with local Christians and Jews (Prayers). Tour co-leaders are Dorothy Jean Weaver, Professor of New Testament, and Kevin A. Clark, Instructor of Spiritual Formation. "Places, People, & Prayers: 2007" is open to all interested persons on a first-come, first-served basis. If interested, please contact Dorothy Jean Weaver at weaverdj@emu.edu or at (540) 432-4276. Prayers and Praises

VMBM: Steve and Betsy Dintaman, Mission Network and VMBM workers at Lithuania Christian College ask us to pray that funds for the new six-story dormitory slated for opening in August 2007 will come in so that this facility will be completed on time.

Mennonite Mission Network: Christine and Phil Lindell Detweiler, Mennonite Mission Network workers in South Africa, relate to several African church groups. Pray for one of these partner churches, Grace Community Church, hat its national convention Nov. 17-19 in Cradock, South Africa, will strengthen the church and its vision for the future.

Pray for the local services for people in need: Love Inc., Shelter for Help in Emergency, Food Bank, Salvation Army, IMPACT--a justice ministry and PACEM-- the initiative for the homeless.
