Blessing for Ken and Kass
Ken and Kass, responding to the call of God in your lives
You have committed yourselves to being peacemakers in a region troubled by conflicts and in a country recovering from war
You go representing the church yet being American
Who knows the questions you will face on your return We stand with you today charging you to be agents of God's grace and peace, hope and vision to all you work with
May you go knowing the church stands with you.
Please receive this song as our prayer for you. STJ 73

Mennonite Central Committee is calling for school kit donations. MCC needs thousands of school kits this fall to meet requests for shipments to countries including Jordan, Honduras, Nicaragua, Haiti, and Kazakhstan. Many school kits have been delivered this past year to Iraq and Afghanistan, but many more are needed, and current supplies are very short. This is one of MCC's most-requested and most-appreciated items. Can you help?

Prayers and Praises

VMBM: Tim & Tina Shoemaker, VMBM tranSend participants, ask us to pray that God will soften the hearts of people they are working with in Donegal, Ireland. Most people prefer to talk about the weather, not spiritual concepts.

Mennonite Mission Network: Pray for Mennonite Mission Network worker Anne Garber Kompaoré as she focuses this month on language research. Anne is translation consultant for United Bible Society of Burkina Faso.

Pray for the local services for people in need: Love Inc., Shelter for Help in Emergency, Food Bank, Salvation Army, IMPACT--a justice ministry and PACEM-- the initiative for the homeless.
