Brian and Jennifer would like to invite us all to celebrate their marriage at a wedding ceremony to be held TODAY at 3:00 pm in the Charlottesville Mennonite Church.

Everyone is invited to the Baptism of Aaron Myers, Maria and David Nissley on Saturday, August 12, at 7 p.m. at Beth Pratt's pool. (102 Mountain View Dr.) Bring some finger foods and drinks and stay for some swimming afterwards.

A special thank you to all who helped with our church's funnel cake booth at the Albemarle County Fair. Many person were glad to see us back and many good conversations were had along the way.

Fall Potlucks: All are invited to join in these informal gatherings to get to know the people of Charlottesville Mennonite Church other than Sunday morning. We are currently looking for people to sign up to host gatherings of 6-10 people sometime between September 22 and October 8. Everyone brings a dish.

Ride for fitness and charity! Join Bike Shenandoah on Saturday, September 23, get sponsors for your ride, and benefit four service agencies-Roberta Webb Child Care Center, Mennonite Media, MCC and Virginia Mennonite Board of Missions. Prayers and Praises

VMBM: VMBM: In July, Mara and Ivana from Centro Koinonia, Bari, Italy, went to Albania and worked in a camp for young people. Pray that God helps them use this experience to change their lives and the lives of the youth. How exciting it is to send a short term mission team from this congregation!

Mennonite Mission Network: Pray for mission workers Jeanette and Todd Hanson as they coordinate the summer language program for China Educational Exchange this month in Nanchong, China. Twelve English teachers will be hosted by local people and study Chinese language, culture, and teaching methods.

Pray for the local services for people in need: Love Inc., Shelter for Help in Emergency, Food Bank, Salvation Army, IMPACT--a justice ministry and PACEM-- the initiative for the homeless.
