If you would like to volunteer in the nursery during the church service, please let Jeannine know. She is currently in need of workers for May 14, 21, and 28, as well as, volunteers for this summer. Spread the Word! Gather your junk that will become another person's treasure. Make sure items are in good condition. Bake some cookies, brownies, and/or breads. Bring your items to church starting Sunday May 14 at noon. CMC's Annual Yard & Bake Sale will be held on May 20. (Rain or Shine) The Virginia Mennonite Conference Assembly will be July 6-9, 2006 at Eastern Mennonite University, Harrisonburg, Va. The theme is "Sent! Around the World: New Perspectives on Mission." Evening speakers include: Ramesh Jaimani, from Trinidad, Willard Eberly, from Italy, Nancy Heisey, from Mennonite World Conference, and Art McPhee, professor at Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary. We are also looking for people who would like to help with the Assembly children's activities. If you are interested please contact the Conference office (info@vmconf.org or 434-9727). There will be a Shenandoah Valley Hymn Sing on Sunday, April 30, at Park View Mennonite Church, at 7:00 p.m. This is a community event. Join in singing favorite hymns with others in the Valley! Jobs are difficult to find in this part of Italy, and many are out of work. The job setting could give them an opportunity to reach out to others for Christ. by 2020. Pray for the local services for people in need: Love Inc., Shelter for Help in Emergency, Food Bank, Salvation Army, IMPACT--a justice ministry and PACEM-- the initiative for the homeless.
