Leader: God of Abraham and Sarah,
we offer to you our barrenness and affliction.
People: Our hearts ache with longing
for your promise to be fulfilled.
Leader: We are tempted to doubt when fulfillment is delayed.
People: We try to fulfill your promise in our own way.
All: Write on our hearts your stories of faithfulness to heal
our ache and quell our doubt. Amen.

Donations (tax deductible) made to CMC for the youth fund appreciated.

Funds are needed for the Mennonite Relief Center in Hinton, Va. It was a very successful canning season: 48,000 lbs of turkey were canned! If you would like to contribute to this project you can send a donation to the: Mennonite Relief Center, PO Box 519, Dayton, VA 22821, earmarked for the meat canning project

For a fun family evening attend the VMRC Spring Auction on Friday, March 17th, at Detwiler Auditorium. Barbeque pork meal from 4:30 - 6:30. Music from 6 - 6:30 and live auction with priced, baked and plant tables from 6:30. See you there!

Prayers and Praises

VMBM Ron and Blanche Nyce have heard the call to serve in Montenegro in the Balkan region combining business and witness. They urgently need more partners for this work. Pray that persons will hear the call and respond positively so that this small country may do big things for God.

Mennonite Mission Network: Pray for Esther Schlegel, Jeff Stoesz, and Joel Reesor, Service Adventure participants, as they serve thought the local thrift store, schools and Boys and Girls Club in Lebanon, Ore.

Pray for the local services for people in need: Love Inc., Shelter for Help in Emergency, Food Bank, Salvation Army, IMPACT--a justice ministry and PACEM-- the initiative for the homeless.

~ The three remaining hostages in Iraq who are from Christian Peacemaker Team, their families, their support teams, CPT leadership Carol Rose and Doug Pritchard, the hostage takers, the negotiators and everyone who is involved and affected by this.
