Thank you all who helped with the funnel cakes at the Virginia Mennonite Relief Sale yesterday.

On October 8 Clark Elementary School and the Belmont Carlton Neighborhood Association will collaborate on a "combined" Fun Fair and Belmont Bash community carnival. The event will take place outdoors on the Clark School campus from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Our church has agreed to participate in a bake sale during that time. Please contact Joyce Hutchinson for more details.

All children must be signed in and out of the nursery. Parents are also asked to complete an information card for each child. See Jeannine with any questions.

Gene Fifer will lead a book discussion on the book Ambassadors of Hope: How Christians Can Respond To The World's Toughest Problems by Robert A. Seiple as our October book. Mr. Seiple is former president of World Vision and former U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom. We will meet on Oct. 5th and 19th, from 7-8:45pm, at the Jefferson Madison Regional Library, in the Madison room. Hope to see you there and invite friends to join us.
