Mark you calendars now for Venture Club coming this fall. Mennonites and Catholics from across the United States and Canada will gather at EMU in Harrisonburg, Va., this July to continue their ground-breaking grassroots ecumenical dialogue. Called "Bridgefolk," the annual summer conferences bring together Mennonites and Catholics on a voluntary basis to explore their two traditions. Participants include both laity and leadership. The conference will begin Thursday evening, July 21, with dinner and conclude at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 24. The gathering is open to the public. Prayers and PraisesMennonite Mission Network: Pray for safely and stamina for mission workers on North American Ministry who are traveling great distances to attend Charlotte 2005 in North Carolina, mission seminar in Manitoba, in addition to spending time with family, friends, and supporting congregations. Pray for the local services for people in need: Love Inc., Shelter for Help in Emergency, Food Bank, Salvation Army, CAISC -a justice ministry and PACEM - the initiative for the homeless.
