Praise:
You visit the Earth and Water It

June 19, 2005

Gathering in Christ's name

Call to worship

Leader: With joyful hearts,
We gather for worship.
Our hearts are filled with gratitude
for the abundant gifts we have received from God's hands: sun, rain, shelter, food and love.
In every moment we are dependant upon God's provisions.
Today we open ourselves again to the gift of life,
offering praise for all we have received,
and waiting expectantly for the refreshing of God's Spirit.

ALL: Lord of life, all our longings are known to you;
send our roots rain;
refresh us and make us whole.

Prayers and Praises

Mennonite Mission Network: Pray for Mennonite Mission Network workers as they visit congregations in the U.S. and Canada during their North American Ministries this summer. Pray that they will communicate well how God is working through their ministries and that congregations will be motivated to the needs across the street and around the world.

VMBM: Phil and Marcia Lehman spread the Gospel in Capurso, Italy. They returned to the U.S. for the summer, seeking to share the testimony of what God is doing there, to seek involvement and support of this ministry, and to find personal refreshment before returning to their work in Italy.

Pray for the local services for people in need: Love Inc., Shelter for Help in Emergency, Food Bank, Salvation Army, CAISC -a justice ministry and PACEM - the initiative for the homeless.
