The Light of God Has Come

January 16, 2005

Gathering in Christ's name

Pre-service Music
Call to Worship

Leader: Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised. The Lord is
good to all and has compassion on all that has been made.
People: The Lord put a new song in our mouths,
a song of praise to our God.
Many will see and put their trust in the Lord.

Women: Happy are those who make the Lord their trust, who
do not turn to the proud, to those who go astray after false gods.
Men: They rise in the darkness as a light for the upright;
they are gracious, compassionate, and righteous.
Women: Good will come to those who are generous;
who conduct their affairs with justice.
Men: For the righteous will never be moved;
They will be remembered forever.
All: All the faithful will bless God's name;
to all peoples they will make known God's mighty deeds and the glorious splendor of God's kingdom.
