Epiphanies:
The Light of God Has Come

January 9, 2005

Gathering in Christ's name

Pre-service Music
Call to Worship Psalm 29

Leader: Ascribe to the LORD , O people,
ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.

People: We stand in awe before God's glory,
We stand in awe before God's visible power.
Women: GOD thunders across the waters,
Brilliant - his voice and his face,
GOD, across the flood waters.
Men: GOD's thunder spits fire.
GOD's thunders makes the wilderness quake;
GOD's thunder sets the oak trees dancing:
A wild dance, whirling;
the pelting rain strips their branches.
All: We fall to our knees--we call out, "Glory!"
Above the floodwaters is GOD's throne from which his power flows, from which he rules the world. GOD makes his people strong. GOD gives his people peace.
